  16.        OPERATIONAL ORDERS:

  18.           1) You will safely take Carrier Convoy Group ADC from its
  19.              departure point in the Northern UK, across the North Sea into
  20.              the Skagerrak Sea and Oslo base.
  21.  
  22.           2) You will protect Oslo base from attack since it is a prime
  23.              Soviet target.
  24.  
  25.           3) You are to destroy the Soviet bases at Orland and Bergen in
  26.              Norway.

  28.           4) You are to attack and destroy all other enemy contacts
  29.              encountered.

  32.        INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING:
  33.  
  34.            The Soviets have brought in a formidable arsenal of aircraft,
  35.            surface ships, and submarines. Fortunately, most of this force
  36.            has not had time to properly organize into an effective
  37.            offensive group. Most of their surface ships are scattered in
  38.            the North Sea. Their air strikes must come from bases far to
  39.            the North where they must cross great distances and will lose
  40.            the advantage of surprise. The enemy is also at the
  41.            disadvantage in that they may not know the exact location of
  42.            your Carrier Convoy Group ADC. However, they don't have to be
  43.            too smart to figure out where ADC eventually be - which is at
  44.            the entrance to Skagerrak Sea. Therefore, they may set up a
  45.            blockade there and wait for you. We also know they have a few
  46.            of their best subs in the area and will resort to nuclear
  47.            weapons if they need to. The President of the United State is
  48.            presently considering granting you permission to use nuclear
  49.            weapons. You will be notified if he approves your request.

  52.        VICTORY CONDITIONS:

  54.            1) You must get at least 14 ships from the Carrier Convoy Group
  55.               ADC into the Skagerrak Sea and Oslo Base.

  57.            2) You must destroy the Soviet bases at Orland and Bergen.
  58.  
  59.            3) You have 36 hours to complete your mission.
